Tutoring in Bondi

Built around your child, not a worksheet pack.

LearnIt is a one-on-one tutoring service for Bondi families, from Kindergarten through to Year 12 and the full IB Diploma. Every student works with a single tutor who gets to know how they think, what they avoid, and where the marks are actually being lost. Our team includes state rankers, the Dux of Ascham, the Dux of Queen Margaret College and the Second Dux of St Andrews, and IB graduates including a 45 out of 45 Dux from Wellington and a 43 from Singapore.

Bondi is unusually mixed for a beachside suburb, which shows up in its schools. Families in the apartments behind Campbell Parade and off Hall Street sit alongside households settled for decades up in North Bondi and around Ben Buckler, and the local primaries reflect that spread before children scatter in Year 7. From here the paths fan out quickly: Rose Bay Secondary College as the comprehensive option over the hill, the Catholic schools clustered at Waverley and Charing Cross, the Jewish day schools at Queens Park and Randwick, and the independents in Bellevue Hill, Rose Bay and Edgecliff, all close enough to be genuine choices rather than distant ones. That means the questions we hear in Bondi are often about transition and comparison: whether Year 5 selective and scholarship testing is worth attempting, how a child who has coasted through a small local primary will handle a much bigger high school, and later, how to hold an HSC subject together when it is being taught differently from the way it was in Year 10. Layered over all of it is the Bondi calendar, nippers on Sunday mornings through summer, sport after school, and long afternoons that the beach quietly absorbs.

We cover Bondi Beach, Bondi Road, Campbell Parade and the streets around them.

How lessons work

Three ways to learn in Bondi.

Most Bondi families choose lessons at home, and our tutors travel across the whole suburb, from the beach end and Hall Street through to North Bondi, Ben Buckler and the streets running up towards Bondi Junction. Online lessons work well when a family is away over summer or when a weeknight is already full, and they run on the same structure as an in-person session. The Double Bay study centre is available too, usually a ten to fifteen minute drive over Old South Head Road outside of peak traffic, though in practice it tends to suit older students studying independently more than younger ones.

In your home

Your tutor comes to you, so there is no drive and no parking, and your child works in the space they already study in. It suits primary students and busy weeknights particularly well.

At our Double Bay centre

A quiet, purpose built room away from the distractions of home. Senior students and exam blocks tend to work best here, and parents often use the time for the school run.

A short drive up Bondi Road means most families happily bring students to the Double Bay centre.

Online

Live one on one over video with a shared workspace, so the tutor and student write on the same page. Ideal for sport seasons, travel weeks, and the day someone wakes up unwell.

Jordan has been a fantastic tutor for my boys. He's committed, reliable, and really great with them. My boys are more confident in their subjects and actually enjoy their sessions too. Highly recommend!

Fabulous tutoring experience for 3 grandchildren. They actually enjoy their session and their excellent maths results reflect this, and the skill of their tutor.

Common questions

Bondi parents often ask

Not at all. Our tutors work in Bondi apartments constantly and are used to the parking around the beach end, particularly in summer. If it is genuinely awkward on a given week, we can move that session online without disrupting the schedule, or shift it to a time when the streets are quieter.

Yes. Most Bondi students we work with are booked in weekday afternoons or early evenings for exactly this reason, and the time slot stays yours each week. If something clashes, our cancellation policy is nine hours, and lessons can run online if your family is travelling.

Yes. Whether your child is heading towards Rose Bay Secondary College, sitting for a selective place, or preparing for scholarship testing at a school such as Waverley College or St Clare's College, we build the preparation around that specific test and timeline rather than running a generic course. We are equally happy to keep working through Year 7 if the transition itself is the harder part.

If you would like to see how it works before committing to anything, we can start with a single lesson in your Bondi home, and there is no contract behind it.

There is no contract and no joining fee, and we will come back to you within 24 hours with a matched tutor.
