Kindergarten to Year 12 and the full IB Diploma, taught in your home, online, or at our Double Bay study centre. Our tutors average a 98.2 ATAR, and every family hears from us in writing after each session.
Coogee is about 16 minutes by car from our Double Bay study centre, roughly 7.2 kilometres.
Every LearnIt lesson is one-on-one and built around what your child is actually doing in class this week, not a generic worksheet pack. Coogee families come to us for very different reasons: a Year 4 student who has quietly stopped putting their hand up in maths, a Year 9 who has never been shown how to build an argument, a Year 12 working through Extension 2. The subject changes, the format does not: one tutor, one student, and feedback from your tutor afterwards so you can see exactly what was covered.
Coogee keeps its own timetable. Nippers at the surf club on Sunday mornings, junior rugby at Coogee Oval, squad training before school, and a long stretch of Terms 1 and 4 when almost no child in this postcode opens a workbook while there is still light on the water. The school landscape spreads out quickly, too. Whether your child is at Coogee Public, South Coogee or St Brigid's, Year 7 usually brings a decision: Randwick Girls or Randwick Boys up on Avoca Street, a Catholic school such as Brigidine or Marcellin, an independent further north, or the selective test and a daily trip to Moore Park. Plenty of parents here work up the hill at the Randwick hospitals or at UNSW, which is part of why a tutor who comes to the house is worth more locally than a tutor you have to drive to.
We cover Coogee Beach, Coogee Bay Road, Wylie's Baths and the streets around them.
Schools in and around Coogee that local families commonly attend. Whichever your child is at, we tutor to their syllabus and their assessment calendar.
Most Coogee families choose in-home lessons, and it is usually the sensible call. Your tutor comes to you, whether that is the flat streets around Coogee Bay Road, the hill above Arden Street, or up towards South Coogee, and no one loses half an hour to beach traffic and parking. Online lessons suit senior students and busy weeks, and the Double Bay study centre is roughly fifteen to twenty minutes away through Randwick and Bondi Junction, traffic depending, if you would rather your child worked somewhere other than home.
Your tutor comes to you, so there is no drive and no parking, and your child works in the space they already study in. It suits primary students and busy weeknights particularly well.
Coogee sits a solid drive from the village, so most families book tutors at home.
A quiet, purpose built room away from the distractions of home. Senior students and exam blocks tend to work best here, and parents often use the time for the school run.
Live one on one over video with a shared workspace, so the tutor and student write on the same page. Ideal for sport seasons, travel weeks, and the day someone wakes up unwell.
Riley has been extremely helpful improving my essay writing and making me feel more confident within exam scenarios. Highly recommend Learn It.
Charlie has been an amazing tutor, he has helped build my confidence in maths, improving my results and making me feel more comfortable in exams.
We come to you. Tutors travel across Coogee and South Coogee, from the streets behind the beach to the hill running towards Clovelly. The Double Bay study centre is there if you want it, about fifteen to twenty minutes by car, but most local families never use it. If parking is difficult at your end, tell us when you book and we will take it into account when we match a tutor and set a time.
Yes, and we would rather plan around the beach than fight it. In Terms 1 and 4 many families here move lessons to later in the evening or to a weekend morning before nippers, then shift back once the season winds down. Times are agreed directly with your tutor, there is no lock-in contract, and our cancellation window is nine hours, so a genuinely unavoidable clash is easy to sort out.
We prepare students for the Year 6 selective test and the Year 4 opportunity class test, and we do it alongside their normal class work rather than in place of it. Coogee has no selective school of its own, so it usually sits inside a bigger conversation about local comprehensives, Catholic and independent options, and we are happy to be honest about where a child is up to. If the test does not go the way you hoped, the reading, writing and maths behind it still count.
There is no contract and no joining fee, and we will come back to you within 24 hours with a matched tutor.
